A good healthy, balanced
diet is an essential part of realising supreme health,
wellbeing and appearance.
The correct type and quantity will enable you to:
- Achieve
and maintain your optimum weight.
- Achieve an improved
self-image.
- Maintain good energy levels.
- Maintain supreme health.
- Perform at your best.
- Reduce the chance of future health
problems.
I can not express enough, the fact that ‘fad’ diets
DO NOT WORK and more often than not they are detrimental
to your health.
Whether you are overweight or not, we need to eat ALL
of the following:
- Carbohydrates
- Proteins
- Fats
- Vitamins and Minerals
- Water
...in the correct amounts according
to our requirements. All these nutrients serve a particular
purpose within
our bodies. If you reduce/ increase (beyond
your
requirements) or cut out one or more of these nutrient groups, you run
a risk of affecting your health in some way.
Nutritional
Consultation
If you are confused about your diet and really
don’t
know what and when to eat, a nutritional consultation
may help. In order for me to fully understand your diet, I will
ask you to fill out a ‘Food Diary’, which is
a 7 day record of everything you eat and drink. I will
also ask you to write me a brief description of your daily
activity. From this I will be able to review your diet
and advise accordingly at our meeting.
